The canvas
A Cardscape canvas is a full infinite whiteboard. You can draw shapes, text, arrows, and freehand strokes, and drop in images — all on an endless surface that lives inside your workspace.
Creating a canvas
Canvases belong to a workspace, and can optionally be tied to a specific board or card. When you create one, give it a name so you and your teammates can find it later. From there, just start drawing — there's nothing to set up.
Your work autosaves
You never have to hit save. As you draw, your canvas is saved continuously in the background, so your work is always up to date.
When several people edit the same canvas at once, Cardscape reconciles everyone's changes with built-in version safety, so no one's work overwrites anyone else's. This all happens transparently — you just keep drawing. See Real-time collaboration.
Adding images
Drop an image straight onto the canvas to place it as a picture element. It becomes part of the scene like any other shape.
More than drawings
Anything on your canvas can carry richer content beyond shapes and text:
- Cards — place Trello or Jira cards as live embeds, or attach a card to any element. See Placing cards on the canvas.
- Documents — attach a markdown or MDX document to any element. See Documents.
- Comments — start threaded discussions pinned to a spot on the canvas. See Comments.
