Placing cards on a canvas

Bring cards from your tracker onto a canvas so your work items live right alongside your diagrams and notes.

The card picker

The card picker is a side panel in the canvas editor. It lists the cards on your board along with the board's open lists, so you can find the item you want and drop it onto the canvas.

Add a card

Open the card picker, then choose one of two ways to place a card:

  1. Click a card to drop it at the center of the canvas.
  2. Drag a card onto the canvas and release it exactly where you want it.

Live embeds

Placed cards are live embeds, not static snapshots. Each one shows the card's real name, labels, and current state, and refreshes automatically as the underlying card changes. You always see the up-to-date item.

Trello and Jira

Placing cards works for both Trello and Jira. A card always displays the face of its own provider, so a Trello card looks like a Trello card and a Jira issue looks like a Jira issue.

note

If you sign in with a native Cardscape account and have linked a Trello account, you can place Trello cards too. Even in a native session, each card keeps its own provider's face.
