Real-time collaboration

Canvases are multiplayer. Everyone with access can open the same canvas at once and edit it together, live.

Editing together

  • Live cursors and presence — you see other people's cursors move around the canvas and who else is currently in the room.
  • Everything merges automatically — changes from everyone are combined onto the same shared scene as they happen, so you all stay in sync without refreshing.

There's nothing to enable. Open a canvas, and if teammates are there too, you're already collaborating.

Sharing a canvas

To bring someone in, send them the canvas URL. Anyone who has access to the workspace can open it and join. There's no separate invite step for the canvas itself — access follows workspace membership.

About access and privacy

Cardscape does not use end-to-end encryption for canvases. The server is trusted, and it enforces who is allowed to open each canvas based on your workspace access. Only people who can reach the workspace (and any board or card the canvas is tied to) can open it. To learn how access works, see core concepts.

  • The canvas — what a canvas is and how autosave keeps your work safe.
  • Comments — discuss the canvas without editing it.
