Agent settings, models & limits
The agent settings dialog controls which AI powers your workspace's agent and how usage is metered. Open it from the gear in the agent panel.
Agent settings are admin-gated per workspace — only a workspace admin can change them. Everyone else uses whatever the admin has set.
Provider & model
Choose the AI provider — Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI — and then a specific model from a live list of that provider's available models. The dialog keeps your current choice selectable even if it later drops off the catalog.
Bring your own key
A workspace can store its own provider API key. When it does, agent runs bill that provider account directly and have no usage cap — the limits below don't apply.
Built-in trial and limits
Workspaces using Cardscape's built-in keys get:
- A demo token allowance — a one-time trial amount. A meter in the settings shows how much is left.
- A shared daily token budget across the workspace.
When the daily budget is used up, sending a message shows a budget exceeded notice. This clears at the start of the next day — or right away if the workspace adds its own key (which removes the cap entirely).
If your workspace keeps hitting the daily limit, an admin can add a provider API key to run without a cap.
